We originally designed the MDD primarily to repurpose the existing Mk10 and Mk8 extruder and hot end into a powerful direct drive combination, utilizing all stock hardware and fittings. Since its release, we've incrementally developed the MDD further into a completely modular hot end carriage, allowing you to bolt basically combination of extruder and hot end in direct drive or bowden configuration.
As there are countless combinations that are possible, we rely on the community to supply designs and mounts for optional accessories like upgraded part cooling fans, ABL mounts, etc., and we can't guarantee which parts will work for which combinations.
While we are actively working with designers to create new accessory mounts for all of the popular configurations we can think of, this is a slow process that will continue to take time. Please try these and other printable designs, and let us know what you like (and what you don't)! Together we will work to refine our catalog of officially-supported printable mods.
