Some printers include an updated extruder which uses an M4 screw to hold the spring tensioning cap, instead of the M3 screw found on most extruders. This can cause clearance issues with the extruder spacer included with your MDD kit. Excessive tension on the extruder spring can cause issues with extrusion, and adjustment to the tension is typically not necessary in a direct drive installation.
